MCPHS
A repository of everything that I've written that relates to the Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Articles for the newspaper, essays, and other stuff. Whatever I come up with. By virtue of the fact that my MCPHS section is the second hit for a Google search for MCPHS, I get email from people who have questions. I try to post them here for everyone else to read who doesn't want to send me an email.
Questions from someone who wants to transfer
You say they try and force people out and half the class drops out. Is this because they accept many underqualified students to make money or because the classes are just hard? Also how is the pace of the curriculum? Do you know how many transfers like me get accepted? What makes you dislike it so much? Any tips on what they like to hear in essays/interviews?
Everyone seems worried about relatively mundane stuff. Will it be impossible to pass? Is it all work and no play? Are the last years the years from hell?
Buying your books from Amazon - Fall 2005
A list of Amazon links for 2nd through 5th year pharmacy students, for those that would rather buy through Amazon than the MCPHS bookstore.

is it worth going to MCPHS for pre-medical or is it just good for pharmacy?

I wouldn't go to MCP for pre-med. I don't know of any pre-med kids that got accepted to med school anywhere, and most have good grades.
Go to a state school for science and/or engineering and you'll be better off. (Particularly with an undergrad degree in an engineering field of some kind. Med schools love engineers.)

hey … what class are you? I'm a 3rd year at MCPHS (worcester). Just happened to stumble upon your blog… read some comments about MCP and laughed a bit. Anyways, i'm glad to be graduating in a few months…. b/c i can't take being at the school any longer. It's crazy I tell you.
